Advanced Race Technician Pre-Apprenticeship Programme at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education
This course is open to students who have successfully completed the Foundation Race Technician Pre-Apprenticeship course at Level 2 and is a great next step to realising your ambition to work within the motorsport industry.
You will study for the EAL Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Vehicle Technology (Motorsport), which includes advanced race car preparation, steering and suspension systems, fault diagnosis and braking system units. As an integral component of your course, if you do not already have a grade C or above in GCSE maths and English, we will also schedule your timetable to enable you to retake these GCSE qualifications.
Completion of the Foundation Race Technician Pre Apprenticeship course.
Continual assessments of both practical and theory work.
This course is made up of returning students who will pay £100 for additional clothing. Students aged 19 or over will also have to pay course fees. Please contact us for up to date information.
Employer-led Race Technician Apprenticeship, Advanced Apprenticeship.
Entry is subject to a successful interview. You need to have considerable passion for motorsport and the desire for a career as a race mechanic. This course is based at Silverstone.
