Personal Well-Being *FEES PAYABLE* at St Mary's Senior School

Course description

Pupils research and discuss topics to enable them to recognise that healthy lifestyles and the well-being of themselves and others depend on information and making responsible choices. Topics will include binge drinking, drink driving, drug abuse, cervical and breast cancers and contraception. Aims of the Course • To develop knowledge and understanding to make informed choices about safety, health and wellbeing and evaluate personal choices and make changes if necessary. • To assess and manage risk in their personal life and to minimise harm in risky situations. • To understand that physical, mental, sexual and emotional health affects their ability to lead fulfilling lives.

Entry requirements

It is expected that you will achieve an A Grade at GCSE in the subjects that you wish to continue to AS Level.

If you are joining us for Sixth Form from another school we require that you achieve at least six A Grades and above at GCSE Level.
