Manufacturing Technologies Level 2 First Diploma at Gateshead College

Course description

If you're looking for a career in engineering, this course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to enable you to progress into an apprenticeship, employment or further training.

The course is designed around the skills base required by employers for multi-skilled maintenance technicians/engineers, however it also gives you the platform to move onto a wider range of engineering roles.

You will study one qualification:

  • NVQ Level 2 First Diploma in Manufacturing Technologies

As part of your study programme you will be given the opportunity to take up a work experience placement if available in the Engineering sector, study health and safety in the workplace as well as English and maths at an appropriate level, to give you more skills for job opportunities.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Grade C in Maths, English and Science
  • We welcome applicants without prior experience.
