Voluntary Service at Palmer's College

Course description

Voluntary Service gives you the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills of working with people. The vast majority of placements are in education (pre-school to secondary and special needs). However, we do have some places in residential care homes and nurseries. Students interested in pursuing a career in teaching or working with children would benefit from the opportunities this course offers as it would complement their career aim.

Course content

You will need to make a study based on your experience within the placement setting and you will be expected to keep an accurate up-to-date record of activities undertaken via a reflective diary.

Future opportunities

This course will enhance your CV when applying for a job or university, especially if going into teaching as there is a necessity for anyone wanting to go into teaching to do 60 hours classroom based experience. Voluntary Service will offer you this opportunity.

How to apply

If you want to apply for this course, you will need to contact Palmer's College directly.
