2 Reading, listening and writing - 2 hours 15 minutes - 75% The Pre-U course offers a unique combination of advanced-level language acquisition and skills development, as well as deep cultural, social and literary enrichment. In this regard, Pre-U offers an enjoyable, but rigorous preparation for pupils wanting to apply successfully to degree courses involving German at the UK’s top universities.

We use varied and the most up-to-date resources, such as the latest textbooks, the Internet, films, music and magazine and newspaper articles. Much of the teaching is conducted in German and all pupils have a weekly individual conversation class with Mrs Harris, our native speaker teacher and assistant and additional classes with German au pairs. As well studying Pre-U topics and grammar in depth, pupils also learn about German civilisation (e.g. films, literature, history, geography and politics).
