Health and Social Care at The Sutton Academy
You are guided and supported throughout the course, and provided with regular feedback on your progress and achievement. You are assessed on each topic throughout the year, three units per year if completing the subsidiary diploma and six if completing the diploma – each unit being broken down into smaller units of grading criteria. Each time you gain a pass, merit or a distinction - your tutor will give you informative feedback and should you wish to re-submit or re-perform work, then you are able to do so in order to gain a higher grade. If completing the diploma there is also 100 hours work experience involved within different health and social care settings
There is no requirement to have studied Health & Social Care at GCSE, although obviously this will give an insight into some of the topics covered.
