Business Cambridge Technical Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Plymstock School

Course description

An ability to reason carefully, develop coherent arguments and commit these to essay format; therefore a good grade in English GCSE would be an advantage. Students will have to be comfortable within a culture where independence, innovation, creativity and self-motivation are expected. A high level of competence is needed in numeracy as there is a significant finance requirement. Students will need to be able to assess business strategy and evaluate various suggested outcomes. Students will need a keen interest in topical global business issues and current methods of business management.

Course content

Learners will cover topics such as the business environment, investigating marketing and business resources. Learners will also have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and tools for the world of work by developing transferable skills such as planning, research and analysis, working with others and effective communication.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for these qualifications. There is no requirement for any specific prior learning. There will be an initial assessment to ensure the learner is capable of reaching the required standards. There is a preference for students with C grade maths and English to so that learners can access the finance element and to be able to complete the reports necessary to succeed.
