Electrical Installation Level 1 Diploma at Blackburn College

Course description

This Level 1 Electrical Installation course is aimed at learners that have a keen interest in electrical installation and is intended for those who want to gain the knowledge and abilities that will enable them to progress onto an Electrotechnical Apprenticeship programme or if you want to learn the basics of electrotechnical principles and practice to help start off your career.

Entry requirements

No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required to register for this qualification. All students will need to demonstrate an active interest in electrical installation. 

Assessment

You will learn about:

  • Health and Safety within electrical installation
  • Principles of electrical science
  • Electrical installations technology
  • Installation of electrical systems and enclosures
  • How to communicate with others in building services engineering

The course is assessed by a series of online exams, internally assessed exams and practical assessments.

Future opportunities

Full time employment within the electrical industry & on to the apprenticeship scheme or the L3 National Diploma in electrical & electronic engineering.
