Mathematics A Level at Fearnhill School

Course description

This course is designed to develop your understandingof Mathematics and mathematical processes in a way thatpromotes confidence and enjoyment. Your range ofmathematical skills and techniques will be extended andused in more sophisticated, unstructured problems.You will learn to recognise how a situation may berepresented mathematically and understand the relationshipbetween "real world" problems and other mathematicalmodels. The skills needed to use technology such ascalculators and computers effectively are fostered and youwill develop an awareness of the relevance of Mathematicsto other fields of study, to the world of work and to society in general.
