Enterprise & Entrepreneurship BTEC at JOSEPH LECKIE ACADEMY

Course description

This course will give students the opportunity to investigate the attributes of successful entrepreneurs around the world.  Learners will look at the different aspects required to become a successful entrepreneur as well as looking at different enterprise activities which have taken the world by storm.  Learners will be given the opportunity to create a new invention, go out & pitch it & sell to the general public.

Business Planning & Pitching

Financial Planning & Implementation

Launching a Business Vision

Brand Development & Promotion

Entry requirements

Minimum of 5 A* - C grades / grade 5 (new grading structure) at GCSE or equivalent.  Grade C or equivalent in your chosen study subject is preferred.


Controlled assessments within lessons

Exam - externally assessed

3 x mandatory units - internally & externally assessed

1 x optional unit selected by teaching staff
