'The course gives an introduction to the broad range of public services, encouraging self-development and confidence building in both individual and team situations. There will be an opportunity to experience real service life through visits to the Army, Fire & Rescue Service, Police Community Awareness and much, much more.•A range of activities designed to stretch, motivate and develop communication, teamwork, leadership, punctuality and discipline skills - all are key skills needed in any future career.•Developing confidence and team work and personal development•Health and Fitness preparation in the Public Services.

Entry requirements

'No formal qualifications are required but a range of GCSE grades E to F would be beneficial. This course is suitable if you are considering a career in Uniformed Public Services - the Armed Forces, the Police, the Prison Service, HM Revenue and Customs, the Ambulance and Paramedic Services or the Fire and Rescue Service.

Future opportunities

'By achieving a PASS in every unit you may be able to progress on to the Level 2 programme in Public Services after a progression interview or apply for selection to the Public Services if you are deemed suitable against their entry requirements.
