Mathematics GCSE Re-take at Knole Academy

Course description

The study of mathematics to a maximum of National Curriculum Level 9. This course is designed for Higher & Foundation Level students who have narrowly missed the level 4 Grade  at GCSE and who are likely to gain this grade at the next opportunity. Please note that this course has a small re-entered examination fee which is refunded if students achieve a 4 grade or better.

  • Number and percentage
  • Ratio and proportion
  • Simple equations
  • Simultaneous equations
  • Trigonometry
  • Bearings
  • Statistics
  • Probability
  • Area and volume
  • Factorisation
  • Transformations

Entry requirements

 

GCSE Mathematcis at  grade 3/4

Assessment

100% examinations - three written papers each 1.1/2 hours long

 

Lesson Structure:

One 60 minute period a week to review and improve subject understanding and to develop study techniques. In addition to this students will have independent study periods to complete and extend work.

 

NB - Lessons will be conducted from 3.30 - 4.30pm.
