Economics - AS / A level at Culford School

Course description

The aim of economics is to show how society uses the scarce resources at its disposal, the behaviour of firms and the role of government and Britain's position in the economy of Europe are amongst the topics studied.

It should be noted that you would not be able to study economics and business studies together.

Course content

AS - 3 units - the market system & market failure, government intervention, the National International economy.

A2 - 3 units - the economics of work & leisure, the UK economy, economics in a European context

Entry requirements

 Grade C or above in GCSE mathematics
