Law A Level at St Joseph's Catholic Academy

Course description

Law is a fascinating and constantly changing subject that directly impacts on every aspect of our lives. During the first year we will visit the criminal and civil courts at the Quayside in Newcastle. Studying law is stimulating, intellectually demanding – and fun. Sometimes you’ll work in your own Law Firm where you will compete against the other Law firms for the end of year prize.

Energetic participation is expected. You’ll need to be highly motivated and self-disciplined to learn the law properly. Successful law students acquire aptitudes prized by many potential employers: advanced communication skills, keen problemsolving abilities, a capacity for independent thinking and proficiency in print based and online legal research.
