Entry requirements

GCSE Grades A-C

  • Maths
  • English
  • Science
  • Preferably a practical or technicial based subject

Alternatively a merit+ in BTEC First/GNVQ Intermediate in either engineering or manufacturing


Practical tasks assessed to National Standards by:

  • Observation
  • Written assessments
  • Assignments
  • Training records.

Further information

The first year of training will be spent at Midland Group Training Centre where training is given in foundation engineering skills. At the end of the first year trainees return to their company to continue training in various departments and day release for further education to achieve technical certificate
