Engineering Production Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 at City College Plymouth
If you're something of a perfectionist, interested in making things, and making things better, then you could be an Engineer in the making! Our Apprenticeship will give you the skills you need to help join the next generation of Engineers in maintaining the industries of the future. You'll be responsible for ensuring that equipment and machinery is operating effectively and working to ensure that is supports the operations of your workplace. You'll need to be thorough, methodical and able to work accurately to deadlines, the skills you learn on this Apprenticeship will allow you to work effectively in the fast moving and highly competitive Engineering sector. If you choose a career in Engineering, your skills will be in demand in industries the world over. Maintenance and Installation Engineers are responsible for setting up new machinery and making sure it continues to run smoothly. It's a varied industry, and our Apprenticeship will give you the skills and qualifications you need to succeed, as well as the confidence and attitude required to work successfully as part of a team.
The Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework will include:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma - completed at work with the help of a College assessor
- Level 2 Technical Diploma - completed at College with various tutors
- Functional Skills for maths, English and ICT level 1 - completed at College
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) - completed at work alongside the NVQ
- Employement Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) - completed at work and at College.
Entry is by an initial assessment at the Work-based Learning Department.
Assessment is continuous, both on and off the job.
Upon completion of this course you may progress to advanced employment opportunities in the Engineering sector.
