Independent Living Entry 2 Certificate at South Cheshire College

Course description

This course allows students to develop their independence. You will learn in our fully equipped independent living flat, where you can practice life skills within a safe and supported environment.

Course content

The course focuses on learning the skills that everyone needs to become more independent. You will work with your group towards a Certificate in Independent Living - Looking after your home and Living in the Community, as well as a Certificate in Personal and Social Development.

You will learn in our fully equipped independent living flat, where you can practice life skills within a safe and supported environment.

In addition, you will work on Functional Skills in Maths, ICT and English.

You will have a weekly tutorial with your personal tutor to help you with your learning and personal development.

Entry requirements

No formal entry qualifications are required.

Future opportunities

This will depend which vocational area you decide to follow. You may wish to spend a further year at Entry Level or to apply for a Level 1 Foundation Programme.

It is on major bus routes and is less than a 15 minute walk from the mainline railway station in Crewe.
