Music Practitioners (Performance) - Rsl Level 3 Extended Diploma at Hertford Regional College
Building on core skills gained in year one at Level 3 you will develop rehearsal, performance, audition, lead performer and musicianship skills. You will learn about being a session musician, an artist, event management, and many more aspects of the music business.
The course offers many units based around the music industry including units similar to those within Year 1 at Level 3 but to a more in depth level of understanding. Master-classes and workshops taught by industry professionals. How to maximise your earning potential within the music industry.
- L3 Diploma for Music Practitioners (Year 1).
There is no final exam. Each module is assessed either on an individual or group basis depending upon the assignment. There is both practical and written coursework as well as the opportunity to take graded instrumental exams.
On successful completion of the Level 3 Extended Diploma you will have the opportunity to progress onto a Foundation Degree, Honours Degree or further training in a music or music business related discipline. Alternatively employment within the music business.
All students have the opportunity to sit RSL instrumental graded examinations on their chosen instrument. Our enrichment programme includes industry-based educational visits, live performance opportunities, and master classes by professionals working in the industry.
What will I need?
There are no additional kits costs associated with the course. There may, however, be enrolment fees to pay. You will also be expected to purchase the relevant Instrumental Grade Book as required. Any costs associated with trips or performance opportunities will be charged as applicable throughout the year.
