Plastering Level 1 Diploma at West Cheshire College

Course description

If you want to become a Plasterer this is the ideal starting point. On this practical course you will develop a range of plastering skills. You will learn how to apply wet finishes to walls, ceilings and floors (solid plastering) and you will also gain skills in fibrous plastering, which involves making ornamental plasterwork in a workshop or on-site to produce the plasterwork seen on the ceilings of decorative buildings and other applications. The skills you learn on this course will improve your employment prospects or enable you to go onto further training.

Course content

You will learn how to apply wet finishes to walls, ceilings and floors and gain skills in fibrous plastering.

Entry requirements

Two GCSEs at grade G or above or successful completion of an Entry Level programme, including English and maths.

Assessment

You will be continually assessed throughout the programme.
