Child Care Certificate Level 3 at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This qualification allows learners to become early years educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and to gain knowledge of children from 5 - 7 years. Upon completion learners can progress into various jobs in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors such as an assistant in a Children's Centre, a practioner in a Nursery School, a practioner in Reception Classes in a Primary School or a Pre-School Worker.

Course content

Learners will be learning about units linked to the following themes; health and well-being, legislation frameworks and professional practice, play development and learning for school readiness, professional development.

Entry requirements

Learners will need to have GCSE English and Maths (level 2) at grade A-C before entry to this qualification. All learners will need to complete a DBS check to ensure they are safe to work with children.
