ICT Professional Competence (PROCOM) (QCF) Level 2 Diploma at College of North West London (FE)

Course description

This computing course is for you if you are currently working in IT Systems Support or if you have some basic knowledge of computers and are looking to start a career in the IT industry. This course will help you to develop your practical and theory skills in our specially designed workshop equipped with all the latest networking infrastructure. Our industry qualified tutors will guide and support you throughout. Course content

The course includes the following: technical troubleshooting, installing and configuring networks, testing ICT systems, working with hardware, and CompTIA A+. Each unit is worth 5-10 credits and this course is equal to 48 credits.

Entry requirements

You will need English and Maths skills at Level 1. If you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online English and Maths assessment after you submit your application. You may also be asked to complete a piece of free writing or a vocational assessment. If you meet the entry requirements you will then be offered an interview with a tutor to discuss the course.

Assessment

You will be assessed on an ongoing basis by completing practical assignments and online tests.
