Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeship Level 3 at City Training Services

Course description

This Diploma is delivered in the workplace by selecting relevant units that cover the work being carried out on a day to day basis.

A portfolio of evidence is then presented in a part digital, part paper format to show competence in each of the units. The Apprentices is guided and has plans set by an Assessor who will visit the workplace every 4 weeks.

Course content

The Apprenticeship framework comprises of;

Work based Assessment Diploma

  • Technical Certificate
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and IT
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities

Diploma in Creative and Digital Media

Typical units covered are;

  • Undertake Technical Adjustment of Images
  • Identify Sources of Information and present findings
  • Undertake Image Asset Management
  • Prepare Assets for use in Interactive Media Products
  • Communicating and Presenting Ideas in the Creative Media Sector
  • Awareness of Converging Digital Technology in the Creative Media Sector

 

Certificate in Creative and Digital Media

This qualification is delivered on a day release College course and covers 3 units that each take a College term to complete.

The 3 units completed are;

  • Digital Imagery for Print
  • Print Production
  • Photography and Photographic Practice

Entry requirements

Grade A – C in English and Maths plus an interest and some experience or knowledge of the hardware and software used in Digital Media.

Assessment

On site Assessment by College Assessor and portfolio evidence.

End tests for Functional Skills.
