Further Mathematics A Level at Ralph Thoresby School
This course is delivered as part of the partnership between the Sixth Forms across Ralph Thoresby School and Lawnswood School.
This is studied along side A-Level mathematics and is aimed at students that have a gained A or A* at GCSE.
The course is examined by six modular exams – usually three are taken in Year 12 and three in Year 13. Exams are taken in June of each year.
An A level in Further Mathematics is a very valuable qualification respected by many employers. Pupils who have a Further Mathematics qualification show that they have a real talent in the subject and excellent to have if you wish to study Mathematics and University or go into a maths oriented career. Mathematics is used both directly and indirectly in many careers such as accountancy, architecture market research and medicine.
