Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator) Advanced Apprenticeship at Northampton College

Course description

Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (EYE) will include: - Developing Effective Study Skills - Theories which underpin Practice in the Early Years - Child Development from conception to 7 years - Promote partnership working with parents - Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT - Personal Learning and Thinking Skills - Employees Rights and Responsibilities

Course content

Apprentices should be employed in a setting with children aged 0-5 years and hold responsibilities that will allow them to meet the criteria for this qualification.

Entry requirements

Employed as an apprentice with a job role which includes the subjects you will be studying. GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grades A*-C ALL applicants will already need to hold these grades before starting the qualification.


Assessed through building a portfolio of evidence electronically or paper based which will include observations in the workplace and a series of workshops at College. Functional Skills in ICT will be assessed through an exam.
