Trowel Occupations (Brickwork) Levels 2 and 3 Apprenticeship at Bradford College

Course description

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn and train in your chosen career as well as earning a regular pay packet. You will be given first-hand experience and learn the majority of the skills needed on the job, whilst also completing off-the-job training within college by day release.

New buildings are springing up all over the country, and older ones need to be maintained or restored and there is therefore a demand for skilled staff within the construction industry.

Completing this course will give you an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations through Construction Skills and City & Guilds.

Course content

The Apprenticeship will cover:

  • Working on a Construction Site to Given Specifications
  • Setting Out Basic Structures
  • Building Brick & Block Walling
  • Laying Domestic Drainage
  • Place and Finish Concrete & Render Surfaces
  • Working to Specification; Setting Out and Erecting Masonry Structures

Entry requirements

GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A-C or Entry 3 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB for the Level 2 programme.
