Specialisms in electrical engineering ranges from transporting data along fibre optic cables to programming computer controlled 'intelligent' buildings. Then there’s renewable technology – everything from wind turbines to photovoltaic systems capable of converting the sun’s energy into electricity.
This course sets you up for the future with professional skills across electrical instalation, inspections and equipment testing.

It’s the foundation for a solid career across the electrical installation industry. To prepare you for working life you’ll complete GAP work placement and, with support from us, develop your English and maths skills.
Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures). You will be invited to a course introduction meeting which will include a range of relevant assessments.
Careers open to successful students include the specialisms of alarms, heating and ventilation as well as more general electrical maintenance.
