ICT Cambridge Technical Level 2 at Stoke Park School and Community Technology College

Course description

Structure of the course The one year course consists of 2 mandatory units taken over one year. The units are coursework based. These units are internally marked and externally moderated. Thereafter the students take two further units which are assigned depending upon their skills and their interests.

Entry requirements

The course builds on the content of the GCSE DIDA course, however there is no prior knowledge required for this qualification. Students should have 4 or 5 GCSE grades E or above, including preferably English and Maths. You need to be organised and hardworking. Good attendance is vital. This is the level 2 qualification in ICT and the exam board is OCR.

Assessment

Grading Each unit will be awarded a grade, pass, merit or distinction. Students should be self-motivated learners able to manage their time well, particularly working to deadlines and prioritising tasks. They should be willing to take chances to improve their work and to experiment with new technologies.
