Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration at North Shropshire College - NSC

Course description

WHAT DOES THE SUBJECT INCLUDE?

Some of the units you can choose within this apprenticeship are:

Produce Business Documents – You will learn how to produce documents that are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the audience.

Minutes of Meetings –You will learn about different types of meetings, the records that are needed to meet legal requirements and the different procedures involved.  You will also develop skills involved in producing minutes of meetings.

Administer Human resources –You will learn how to work to organisational policies and procedures in terms of keeping and maintaining records and keeping them up to date and also the implications of not keeping records up to date. You will also learn about confidentiality and the key legal issues surrounding this.

Provide Reception Services – You will learn how to develop your skills by exploring key functions that a receptionist is responsible for.  You will look at how visitors are welcomed into the organization and how they are dealt with in terms on recording their presence and directing them to the correct area of the organisation.

IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?

The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF) has been developed in collaboration with the Sector Skills Body for business using the most recent National Occupational Standards. It integrates competency and knowledge units into a single ‘combined' qualification. This is one of a suite of new work-based business skills qualifications developed in response to emerging industry trends and the skills and knowledge requirements of employers.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualification are required before you can enrol for this qualification.  However, it is likely you will be seeking work or already employed in the Business Administration Sector.
