AS/A2 Level Spanish at Great Marlow School

Course description

Language skills are an essential part of the adult world, especially when it comes to business and travel. Learning a language not only opens your mind, it expands your options as well as your awareness of other cultures. Spanish A-Level aims to develop students’ language skills in terms of output and dealing with increasingly complex linguistic situations.

Language skills can be applied to a wide variety of jobs, from Medicine to Business, and from the Media to Travel and Tourism.

Unit 1 – topics include: Media, Popular Culture, Healthy Living, Family/Relationships

Unit 2 – topics include: Media, Popular Culture, Healthy Living, Family/Relationships

Subjects at A2

Unit 3 - topics include: State and Individual, Distribution of Wealth, Health Issues, Transport Issues, Science and Technology, Racism, Crime and Punishment, Future of Europe, Global Issues.

Unit 4 - topics include: State and Individual, Distribution of Wealth, Health Issues, Transport Issues, Science and Technology, Racism, Crime and Punishment, Future of Europe, Global Issues. 

Entry requirements

Students should have achieved at least a Grade B in their GCSE Spanish if wishing to progress to A-Level.
