Light Vehicle Diagnostics & Rectification Level 3 at City College Brighton and Hove
All our courses involve students studying both the theory and practical aspects of light vehicle maintenance including health and safety and other skills associated with working in a garage and this blend ensures a diverse range of learning opportunities for our students. No two days are the same!
On this course you will study the Diagnosis and Rectification of:
Engine and component faults
Chassis system faults
Auxiliary equipment electrical faults
A Level 2 motor vehicle qualification, or a minimum of 18 months’ motor vehicle industry experience.
Interview for entry: Interview required
Learners will be asked at the interview to completed a section of the Hillier’s Fundamentals Of Motor Vehicle over the summer break.
Assesments will consist of Practical Assessments, On Line Assessment, Written Assessments and the completion of a Portfolio.
Learners will be ask to buy the following:
Hillier’s 5th Edition – Fundamentals of Motor Vehicle Technology – ISBN – 0-7487-8082-3 - £16
Steel Toe Cap Boots and Overalls - £20 (approx)
After successfully completing the Level 3 award you will have the skills and confidence to apply for one of the wide range of vehicle repair jobs in all types of garages, dealerships and maintenance depots.
