Course description

Computer Science is an exciting field that can provide great rewards to those who are interested in computers and enjoy solving problems. This Level 2 course offers an entrance into the creative world of Software Engineering and Web Technologies and it is expected that you will progress onto either of the Level 3 courses in Computer Science or an appropriate Apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

Four GCSE’s graded A - D including English and Mathematics (or English and Maths at Level 1). "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."


A portfolio of assessed work will be produced via set assignments and practical work as well as external exams.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you can progress to a Level 3 course or gain employment as an Apprentice Software Engineer or a related discipline.
