The BTEC subsidiary Diploma and Diploma in Performing Arts aim to provide a broad educational base for further training, further education and employment within the performing arts sector. The qualifications will develop your abilities through the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the programme.

5 A*-C GCSE grades or the equivalent, including C in Maths and English.'

Future opportunities

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the Performing Arts sector as a performer or behind the scenes in stage management, front of house and technical support. Some of the jobs available are: Lighting or Sound Engineers, Directors, Floor managers, Crew, Agent/Manager, TV/Film Editor, TV/Film Producer, TV/Film Runner and Stunt Performers. It also prepares students for Youth Work and work in the field of Dance/Drama education. The study of these subjects helps prepare students for: working in a team, independent learning.
