Many students end up hooked and go for a degree in Earth Sciences. Geology and Physics together makes you a Geophysicist and much in demand by oil companies. Geologists are needed, not just for oil and gas and metals. They are needed to find groundwater without which the world starves. Engineering Geologists make sure that major structures don’t collapse – don’t put that nuclear power station over an active fault!
Geology A Level is beneficial for students aiming at getting into university, it is regarded as an accepted science and a useful addition to any science career.
