Religious Studies (Philosophy & Ethics) A-Level at Campion School

Course description

Candidates studying Religious Studies will develop the knowledge and understanding of the content of, and acquire the skills involved in, a study of the Philosophy of Religion and Religious Ethics. The study will build on the knowledge, understanding and skills that candidates may have developed through the study of GCSE Religious Studies. It does not however, assume or require any previous study of the subject.

Entry requirements

No previous experience in this subject is required but where students have studied GCSE at least grade C is required.

Future opportunities

Studying this subject may lead to tertiary study in related areas of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as courses specifically involving Philosophy and Ethics. Vocational courses in such areas as Law, Travel, Local Government, Commerce, Church and Social Work as well as the caring professions would all be advanced by such study.
