An Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering covers topics such as turning and miling, CNC mnachining and CAD design to national standards and allows you to tailor the units of the course to suit the daily routines of your business. This Apprenticeship will give your business the opportunity to entice new people into the sector and avoid a future skills shortage.The Apprentice will complete the following:- Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Level 3 - BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering OR Level 3 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations- Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English and Information Technology- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills- Employees Rights and Responsibilities

You must be in relevant employment to start an ApprenticeshipGCSE Grade C in English and MathematicsAchieve a minimum of 50% in Level Diagnostics in English and Mathematics

Assessment

The Certificate will be evaluated through: - a series of practical assessments- a portfolio of workThe Technical Certificate is assessed through: - theory based tests or assignmentsFunctional Skills are assessed through: - tests where appropriateAverage duration is 36 months.
