Driving Goods Vehicles Apprenticeship at West Cheshire College

Course description

West Cheshire College has vast experience in delivering a comprehensive range of recognised training courses and qualifications for Bus, Coach, Private Hire, Hackney and Community Transport Operatives.

Drivers must demonstrate a sufficient level of competence to complete 7 mandatory units to gain the award.  The units include demonstrating competencies in pre-driving checks (including the use of tachographs) and monitoring the loading of goods.  Additional units give candidates the opportunity to show competence in unloading goods vehicles and coupling and uncoupling goods vehicles if these form part of their job role, but do not form part of the mandatory requirements for the qualification.

You will work towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Driving Goods Vehicles or NVQ Level 3 in Driving Goods Vehicles.

Entry requirements

This Apprenticeship would suit those who are currently working in the sector and would like to work and gain a recognised qualification.
