DT: Product Design - A Level at Turton High School & Sixth Form College
Throughout the course you will be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of three-dimensional media, techniques and processes. You will work in traditional and new technologies and should make links to critical, contextual sources throughout your studies. You may explore overlapping areas and study ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, interior design and/or environmental and architectural design. You will be required to demonstrate an appreciation of solid, void, form, shape, texture, decoration, surface treatment, scale and proportion and use a variety of appropriate tools and equipment. A successful portfolio should ensure a firm foundation for further study of Three-Dimensional Design or related subjects in Higher Education and career choices include: Interior Design, Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewellery Design or Product Design.
At least a grade B in the written examination as well as an overall grade B and GCSE Science grade C
