Accident Repair Paint Level 1 Diploma at Stoke on Trent College

Course description

The course covers key areas for students wanting to move towards vehicle refinishing motor trades. This Level 1 course is one of a range of qualifications within the Foundation Learning framework and provides an ideal starting point for students wishing to gain a body repair qualification. The course has a strong focus towards practical learning and is intended to provide students with opportunities to learn basic motor vehicle body repair skills in a group setting and is delivered in one of our well equipped workshops. The necessary knowledge to carry out the tasks and competently is also covered as part of the course.

Course content

The course covers key areas for students wanting to move towards vehicle refinishing motor trades. The course has a strong focus towards practical learning and is intended to provide students with opportunities to learn basic motor vehicle Body Repair skills in a group setting and is delivered in one of our well-equipped workshops. The necessary knowledge to carry out the tasks safely and competently is also covered as part of the course.

Entry requirements

2 GCSEs grade E-G, Entry Level 3, or another relevant Entry Level qualification. You will have a pre-induction interview/assessment to make sure this is the right level for you.

Assessment

The course requires students to demonstrate their skills by successfully completing practical assessments and answering online theory questions for each unit that makes up the qualifications.

Future opportunities

Onto a relevant Level 2 qualification, into employment or an Apprenticeship in the Accident Repair sector.
