The normal entry requirements are 4 GCSEs at grade C and above, including English Language. Applications will be considered from students who have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Business at Merit grade and above, and have a C grade or above in GCSE English Language. Some students may also be required to attend any provision created by the course team to improve the levels of English and Mathematics.
The course will prepare students for employment or advancement at work. In addition, students will have the opportunity to progress onto a second year BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business course. Students will benefit from the course as this will provide them with the knowledge and skills required to start their own business, or to seek employment in a business organisation. Progression onto the second year will be at the discretion of the course leader subject to performance and level of attendance during the first year of the course. The course complies with the new Qualification Credit Framework.
