Event Planning Level 2 Award at Cirencester College
The course is split into two units
Planning an Event. Students will discover and understand the factors that are needed to plan an event. Students will then use this information and apply to plan and run their own small scale event.
Review and Evaluate the Events. Students will then review the event that they have completed. The review will look at the strengths and weaknesses which will be used to evaluate the events. This is an important process in order to understand how these process are important in making future events a success.
Assessment is through a variety of methods including assignments and observations. Students will develop knowledge related to the nature of the event industry and knowledge required to plan a small scale event. There will be an opportunity for learners to plan, organise, run and evaluate a small scale event.
Progression can lead to L3 Hospitality or Travel qualifications and can be useful to support a UCAS application to study Event Planning.
