Course description

The Level 2 AAT Diploma in Accounting and Business will teach you
accounting skills and principles in the work place. You will learn the
basics of accounting, which includes double-entry book-keeping,
balancing off ledger accounts, preparing a trial balance, and how to
code and present financial information for management use. You
will also be taught how to use the Sage system for Accounting and
how to communicate in the Accounting function. Full Time Study
Programmes are built around a collection of key elements which all
students benefit from, these include:
 
• Main Qualification in the subject of your choice
• English & mathematics qualifications for all students who have not
yet achieved A*- C grade in either subject
• Work Experience or External Work Placement which is planned
with you at the start of your course and links to your career goals
and ambitions
• Weekly Tutorial with your personal tutor
• A wide range of Enrichment Activities to support your broader
skills, such as teamwork or communication

Entry requirements

4 GCSE passes at A*-D including English or maths or a full Level 1
Diploma at merit or distinction, plus Level 1 Functional skills maths
and English and a good tutor or school report.

Assessment

Computer based assessments and exams.

Future opportunities

Junior Accounts Assistant, Finance Clerk, Payroll Assistant,
Payroll Clerk, Apprenticeship or employment.
