NVQ Sport Recreation and Allied Occupations Activity Leadership Outdoor Education Level 2 at Coleg Sir Gar

This course is designed to develop an interest in Outdoor Education and provide opportunities to gain personal experience in various aspects of outdoor activities. It is nationally recognised by employers, further and higher education establishments and professional bodies.
GCSEs or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential. More important is the ability to show commitment, motivation and a willingness to work hard on the course. Mature students without formal qualifications are welcomed on the course. Acceptance onto the course is at the discretion of the faculty.
The course is continually assessed through practical observations, personal competency and assignments. A personal portfolio of evidence is required. No external exams.
Successful completion of this City and Guilds NVQ will qualify students to progress onto the NVQ level 3 outdoor education course. Students could also seek employment in the outdoor activities industry.
