Course description

Media Studies will be challenging and fulfilling if you are interested in how the media works to shape attitudes, values and beliefs in society; the creation and manufacture of media texts, development of media industries and new media technologies

Entry requirements

A minimum pass at grade D or above in AS Media Studies

If you are a Humanities student with an interest in current affairs, have an interest in developing an understanding of media industries and analysing media texts

Assessment

MS1 - A written exam 2.5 Hours(3 questions to be answered) MS2 - Coursework consisting of a portfolio of 3 pieces - preproduction text;production text and a report MS3 - a research investigation; a production informed by the investigation; an evaluation of the production MS4 - a written examination of 2.5 Hours (3 questions to answer)

16-18 years old, no tuition fees apply to Full Time courses and fees subject to confirmation. Additional costs applicable to BHS courses.
