Modern Foreign Languages - French at King Alfred's Academy
AS students will explore the following General Topic Areas:Youth culture and concerns (Music and fashion; technology; relationships; drink, drugs and sex.)Lifestyle, health and fitness (Sport and exercise; food and diet; health issues.)The world around us: travel, tourism, environmental issues and the TL speaking world (Tourist information, travel and transport; weather; pollution and recycling)Education and employment (Education; education policy and student issues; the world of work)
A2 students will explore the same General Topic Areas, plus the following:Customs, traditions, beliefs and religionsNational and international events: past, present and futureLiterature and the arts
Typically students need at the very least 5 or more GCSE’s at grade C or above to be successful on an Advanced Course. There are more than 30 subjects to choose from though some may require more than a C grade.
