In your first year you will be studying functions and sources of nutrients, diet and lifestyle, food choice, marketing, social factors and consumer lifestyles, food legislation and new product development. In your second year you will be studying physical and chemical structures of macro nutrients, working characteristics of food, the nutritional composition of food, new product development, design in practice, preservation methods, legislation and systems and control. If you were interested in the design aspects of your food Technology course at GCSE then this course will suit you.
