Hospitality and Catering Course at St. Edmunds Society

Course description

Hi there, my name is Sarah Bayliss and I teach: Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Level 1 Award/Certificate/Diploma.

I’m a fully qualified chef of 28 years who has worked in schools, contract catering, and been a restaurant manager during my career.

Course content

The course I teach at St-Eds is made up of the following units:

Unit 102: Customer service in the hospitality industry
Unit 103: Food service
Unit 106: Basic food preparation and cooking
Unit 108: Introduction into food commodities
Unit 111: Using kitchen equipment
Unit 112: Introduction to personal workplace skills
Unit 113: Health & safety and food safety awareness in catering
Unit 114: Introduction to kitchen equipment
