Art and Design UAL Diploma Level 1 at Kensington and Chelsea College
This course is for anyone with little or no knowledge in Art, Design and Multimedia and want to learn vocational skills in this exciting subject area. You will learn how to prepare design ideas and develop them into finished products both 2D and 3D work.
The course includes a wide range of art and design skills such as drawing, ceramics and metalwork studio practices, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and more. You will develop these skills along with functional skills in English, Maths and Social Development.
As part of your learning experience and study programme, learners aged under 19 who don’t have English & Maths GCSE at A-C will be required to undertake this either at Functional skills level or GCSE level.
Assessment is 100% coursework with regular verbal and written feedback. You will produce practical work with technical notes, evidence folders, sketchbooks and a final art portfolio.
Successful students will have the opportunity to progress to Level 2 pathway in Digital Multimedia or 3D crafts.
