Course content

Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence units include:
• Systems Operation
• IT Project Management
• Quality Management of ICT Products and Services
• Design & Develop a Website
• Managing Software Development
• Technical Fault Diagnosis
• Working with ICT Hardware and Equipment
Additional Study:
• Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT 
• Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS) 
• Employee Rights & Responsibilities 

Entry requirements

  • Employment within the industry 
  • 3 GCSEs 9-4 (A*-C) including English & Maths
  • Level 2 qualification in ICT 


An assessor will visit you in your workplace once a month to assess your competence and help you build a portfolio of evidence. You will also attend College one day per week to achieve the Technical Certificate in IT which may involve assignments and examinations.
