Course description

Most units will be practical resulting in a performance, supported by written evidence of process/research.

Example projects:

  • Performance of a full length scripted play in a professional standard venue
  • Performance of a Devised piece of theatre in a professional standard venue
  • Performance of a pantomime/storytelling work to a primary school audience
  • Horror performance in which the audience interact with the actors throughout

Entry requirements

Students must meet the Consortium minimum entry criteria for BTEC/CTEC Extended Diploma’s, that is, a GCSE grade 4 and above in English and Maths, as well as a minimum of GSCE grade C’s and D’s (point score of 35.2).

58% internally assessed and 42% externally assessed
