Entry requirements

  • human life span development 

  • working in health and social care

  • anatomy and physiology for health and social care

  • enquiries into current research in health and social care 

  • meeting individual care and support needs

  • work experience in health and social care

  • principles of safe practice in health and social care

  • promoting public health

  • additional five optional units


  • two GCSEs at grade C or above, in addition to maths at grade four or above and English at grade four or above, or
  • four GCSEs at grade C or above, including maths and English, or
  • Health and Social Care Level 2 Extended Certificate, maths at grade four or above and English at grade four or above, or equivalent
  • you will also require an enhanced DBS disclosure
  • successful attendance at interview event and satisfactory references

    • September 2014 sees the grand unveiling of a new £45 million Thurrock Campus in Grays which will include restaurants, health facilities, shops and an advice centre. There will also be specialist workshop and studio spaces linked to courses for technology, media and creative arts, and facilities for art, design, logistics, engineering and IT courses.
